Open Question: Camping near South Carolina?

My friends and I are looking to go camping around early October. We are looking for camping grounds around South Carolina (but are ok with the areas close to SC in Georgia or North Carolina as long as its not a long drive from Columbia). We are looking for a more secluded woody area where not to many people are around. Any ideas?
